Director’s Visit to Drupa exhibition in Germany

This European summer our Director visited the Drupa exhibition in Germany.

Drupa is the biggest and most relevant printing and packaging in the world and usually takes place every four years.

He was at first pleased to see that it appeared that sustainable and environmental issues were at the forefront of most exhibitors stands. However, on closer examination, it was most apparent that this was mostly greenwashing and marketing sound bites. There were, of course, genuine causes being championed but in the process of asking pertinent questions there was a sinking feeling that there was no real commitment from many to reduce our footprint.

At CCS we believe we have to be RESPONSIBLE about our claims on sustainability. We try and we commit funds and time to achieve real results in sustainable packaging in Sydney. By no means are we perfect but we do really mean what we claim and our stringent accreditations take real effort.
